Solutions

CapsuleTek Solutions

CapsuleTek’s products and services are tailored to meet the diverse needs of educational institutions, law enforcement agencies, municipalities, and various commercial entities.

By leveraging our expertise and cutting-edge technology, we deliver custom solutions that comply with and often exceed all relevant standards and regulations in Texas.

What we can do for you

CapsuleTek’s products and services are designed to meet the unique needs of schools, police departments, and cities.  Our offerings include:

Structured Cabling

Cabling that outlives the equipment on it

Cat 6 plenum-rated infrastructure installed to commercial fire-safety code, then certified and labeled so the next person to open the closet knows what they’re looking at. New builds, retrofits, and campuses where nobody has been above the ceiling in twenty years.

Security Integration

One system, not four that share a building

Video, access control, intrusion detection, and panic alert designed together and commissioned as one system — so a door propped open triggers the camera covering it, and both land in the same place. We install what we design, with our own crews.

We carry Verkada for cloud-native deployments and Hanwha and i-PRO for on-premises and ONVIF, so the recommendation follows the building rather than our line card.

Some features may require additional hardware or licensing.

Designed from a site walk, not a catalog

We survey the building before specifying anything — sight lines, entry points, existing conduit, and what the doors will actually take. You get drawings and a device schedule you could hand to any integrator, not just to us.

An independent read on what you already have

A written assessment of your current posture: what works, what has failed quietly, and what a determined person would try first. Useful whether or not you buy anything from us afterwards.

The part most integrators stop doing after year one

Every install carries a 60-day workmanship warranty. After that, maintenance is a separate monthly agreement — an add-on you choose and pay for, not something that starts by itself. We certify our own work, which is what makes a system eligible for it.

What the agreement covers: scheduled service visits, firmware kept current, cameras cleaned and re-aimed, batteries replaced, and a written record you can produce when someone asks whether the system has been maintained rather than merely installed.

Systems we didn’t build are welcome. We assess first and quote what it takes to bring them up to standard before taking them into the program — because we won’t certify work we haven’t verified.

An agreement isn’t a condition of getting help. We take one-off service calls too.

Someone watching while the building is empty

24/7 monitored operations with a defined escalation path — to your staff, to us, or to law enforcement, depending on what your emergency plan says. Alerts go to people, not only to a dashboard nobody is looking at.

IT Infrastructure & Support

Servers, networks, and the licensing on top

Infrastructure designed and built, kept patched and monitored, and supported day to day — whether we built it or inherited it.

Security leadership without the headcount

Our virtual CISO practice is led by Celerino Torres, former Chief Information Security Officer for the Texas Attorney General’s Office, where he governed security across hybrid-cloud and legacy environments under NIST, CJIS, IRS 1075, HIPAA and PCI-DSS.

He runs the program end to end — assessment against CIS Controls and NIST CSF 2.0, a prioritized roadmap with cost attached, the written policy set, and the remediation itself. Incident response, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning and staff awareness training sit under the same program.

Where you’re audited against CJIS, IRS 1075, HIPAA or PCI-DSS, we prepare the evidence and work alongside your team through the process. We advise and prepare — we don’t issue legal opinions or sign on your behalf.

Networks built for more than one building

Switching and wireless on Extreme Networks, firewalls and SD-WAN on Fortinet, and Cradlepoint where cellular is the only link that makes sense. For organizations running multiple sites — including the ones where the same network also carries cameras, access control and phones.

Designed so a failure at one campus doesn’t take the others down with it.

Designed from scratch, or replaced when it’s genuinely time

Infrastructure from the ground up: server specification and configuration, Active Directory, clustering, Exchange, and the network underneath it.

For what you already run, we inventory it, separate what’s actually end-of-life from what’s merely old, and phase replacement around your budget cycle. Sometimes the honest answer is that a box has three good years left in it.

Running it, whether we built it or not

Monitoring, patching and backup verification run continuously through our management platform; the helpdesk is staffed 7am to 7pm. Issues are often caught and remediated before anyone would have thought to call.

We manage what we built and what we didn’t — an Active Directory someone else designed, a Microsoft tenant someone else configured, a network we didn’t spec.

Fewer boxes, less to go wrong

Consolidate aging servers onto Hyper-V or VMware to cut power draw, licensing, and the number of physical machines anyone has to maintain — and turn disaster recovery into a restore rather than a rebuild.

Licensing, tenants, and the move between them

As a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider we supply and manage Microsoft 365 licensing, Azure and Intune — and we run the migrations: file server to Microsoft 365, on-premises to Google Workspace, and tenant-to-tenant between cloud services.

Not limited to Texas. Licensing and software we supply anywhere, and we travel for on-site deployments.

Restore, not rebuild

Veeam Backup & Replication with immutable Wasabi storage, through our Probax partnership. Ransomware goes for the backups first — object-locked copies can’t be encrypted or deleted, even with stolen admin credentials, until the retention window closes.

Licensing and cloud storage come as one thing. Buying Veeam outright means the license upfront and then your own cloud storage to set up and pay for on top — here there’s neither. And we test the restores: a backup nobody has restored from is a hope, not a plan.

Phones on the network you already have

3CX for organizations that want their own phone system, and Microsoft Teams Phone for the ones already living in Teams — including the licensing, which we supply as a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider.

We run the cabling, the switching and the call quality underneath. When a call drops there’s nobody to hand you off to.
